Google have announced a new partner in their smart TV ambitions. South Korean electronics giant, Samsung will be launching a Google TV set this year, although it will not be solely a Google run system.
The news was revealed in a Google TV blog post and the new smart TV
will give owners access to the integrated Smarthub Samsung App store,
whilst also giving access to Google TV features.
Samsung showed off the set at the IFA show in Germany, and rather
than a TV set running on Google TV OS, it seems that they have merely
added Google TV apps such asYoutube, Chrome browser and the Google Play
Store.
